Miami has a long and important history in R&B and soul, and LaJadé is stepping forward as part of its next chapter.

After more than a decade away from releasing music, Miami R&B vocalist Daniele LaJadé returns with “Close To You,” a grown, soulful record built around melody, emotion, and the kind of vocal presence that has always been at the heart of great R&B.

This isn’t simply the introduction of a new record. It’s a return.

LaJadé isn’t approaching this return by chasing whatever sound happens to be trending.

“Close To You” is rooted in grown R&B and soul, while presenting that foundation to today’s audience.

Coming from Miami makes that especially meaningful. South Florida has a rich history of female R&B and soul voices, from Betty Wright and Gwen McCrae to Anita Ward, and LaJadé is working to carry that tradition forward while establishing an identity that belongs completely to her.

After approximately 13 years away from releasing music, “Close To You” marks a new beginning — but not the beginning of LaJadé’s story.

She has lived. She has grown. And now she’s bringing those experiences back to the music

“Close To You” introduces the next chapter leading into LaJadé’s upcoming album, scheduled for release September 25, 2026, through Heart Records / Culture Music Group.

The project expands upon the direction established by “Close To You”: mature R&B, real vocals, melody, musicianship, and records created for listeners who still want R&B to feel like R&B.

With Miami radio already responding to the single, the campaign now expands beyond South Florida to Urban AC and R&B radio, DJs, mixshows, programmers, streaming platforms, media, and tastemakers nationwide.
